Bajirao Mastani director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next big project, Padmavati, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, is in some fresh trouble, according to the reports.
Reports said that after the protests by few religious organizations, the producer of the film Eros has been backed off from producing the film.
Reports added that Eros, who produced Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, has backed off from producing his next just because the production house don’t want to take risk as the production cost in Padmavathi is too high.
The total cost of the fees of three leading actors, Shahid, Deepika and Ranveer, for the film sums up to Rs. 180 crore and the producers are thinking twice on piping in so much money after the failure of Mohenjo Daro, a period drama, on box office.
If the reports are true, the film, which is already running late, will be delayed. The film was scheduled to go on floors on September. However, there are no developments on this regard, reports said.
