By Calling off the clash between Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film of Anand L Rai and his next venture, Krrish 4, starring Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan has agreed to movie release date for the film as Shah Rukh’s Red Chilies Entertainment had announced the date first.

Howeverm going by the same process, Rakesh Roshan has refused to move release date for Hrithik’s Kaabil, which will be released alongside Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees as Roshan had announced the release date for the film first.

Earlier Shah Rukh Khan had pulled off his film, which was supposed to be clashed with Salman Khan’s Sultan on Box Office in July. Shah Rukh Khan then though of releasing the film on Republic Say in 2017, same day when Kaabil is going to release.

Speaking on the issue, Rakesh Roshan, to a leading daily said, “It is unethical for me to release my film on this date as Shah Rukh has already announced his movie… I had announced the date for Kaabil earlier. If they are coming on the same date, then I can’t do anything about it.”

“I don’t know what they will eventually decide. We’re here to make films, not create controversies. As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, he’s like a younger brother to me. I gave him a break in King Uncle, and then worked with him in Karan Arjun and Koyla,” said Roshan.

Shah Rukh Khan had tweeted earlier, “Met friend/mentor/family after many a days.Mr. R.Roshan reminded me…it’s not important to do 2 much, it’s important to get 1 right. Thx sir.”

Rakesh Roshan, clearing his stand, said, “I don’t move my release date, if I have announced it first.When Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai was releasing on January 14, 2000, Aamir Khan’s Mela was coming on January 7, Shah Rukh’s Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani on January 21 and Anil Kapoor’s Pukar on February 4. Some distributors suggested I move my film as Hrithik was a newcomer. They left the film because I didn’t change my release date.”
