Bollywood actor Salman Khan has announced that he will present a cheque of Rs. 1,01,000 to every Indian Olympian who is competing in Rio.

Salman Khan took to twitter for doing an announcement. He tweeted,

As a gesture of appreciation for our Olympic athletes, I will present each one with a cheque of Rs1,01,000.

Being the goodwill ambassador from India for the Rio Olympics 2016 said that the government is very supportive and that we should also do our part to encourage people to take up sports in our nation.

He also tweeted,

Earlier, Yash Raj Films had announced that it will present Rs. 10 Lakh as cash award to the Indian athletes who win gold for the country in ongoing Rio Olympic 2016.
