KJo announces Alia and Shah Rukh Khan in a film directed by Gauri Shinde

Alia Bhatt is on cloud 9, yes, she has every reason to be as mentor, Karan Johar has announced a film casting Alia and Shahrukh in Dharma Production’s next film directed by Gauri Shinde. Alia earned it after doing movies like Highway and 2 states she was seen with Kapoors, Dhawans and Malhotras, before she reached to the Khans.

Alia posted on Twitter soon after Karan announced the new project on the micro-blogging platform on Wednesday (August 19).

"Red Chillies Entertainment... Dharma and Hope Productions are proud to present Gauri Shinde's next starring... SHAH RUKH KHAN and ALIA BHATT," Karan tweeted.

karan johar will co-produce the film under his Dharma Productions along with Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment and Hope Productions.

While this will be Shah Rukh's first film with Alia, with debut "Student Of The Year" that was co-produced by the 49-year-old. It will be an interesting casting to watch them together as SRK will turn 50 in November, Alia is less than half his age.

Both the actors have big films to live up to as of now. SRK has three films -- Raees,  Dilwale and Fan lined up for release, and Alia, 22, has 'Shaandaar', 'Udta Punjab' and 'Kapoor and Sons' in her kitty.

We are happy for you Alia, stay excited, you are working with the Badshah of Bollywood and you will be given due credit for the entertainment from you.
