Sridevi's 'English Vinglish' has been the second highest grossing film in Japan

Sridevi's English Vinglish was released in Japan in around 33 screens and it hit the Japan box office with huge collections and it had collected around massive US $1 million.

Most of the Hindi films do not get released in Japan and Sridevi was seen on the screen after a long time with 'English Vinglish' which is directed by Gauri Shinde. It has been the second highest grossing film in Japan after Aamir Khan's '3 Idiots' have collected around US $1.6 million at Japan box office.

The film was previously released very grandly in overseas like Hong Kong, Germany, Taiwan and Korea. The film is about an ordinary Indian housewife who faces criticism for not knowing English by her husband and surround people and she finally learns English and proves herself. The script and Sridevi's performance as click the movie in overseas.
