Sack Raghuram Rajan, Subramanian Swamy Wrote To PM Again, Listed 6 Charges

Subramanian Swamy’s unlikeness of Raghuram Rajan is again on the cards as the top BJP leader sent a second letter to the prime minister Narendra Modi to remove Raghuram Rajan as the governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). In two weeks, this is the second letter by Swamy in which he has listed 6 charges against the governor of RBI demanding the removal of him.

In his first letter on May 17, he has alleged to remove Raghuram Rajan as he is mentally not fully Indian. He has alleged in his second letter that Rajan has increased  interest rates in detriment of small and medium industries. Swami said, “The governor should have known the "inevitable consequence of rising and high interest rate and his policy was willful and thus anti-national in intent.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party leader has alleged further that Rajan is sending confidential and sensitive information using unsecured Chicago university email ID and publicly disparaging the BJP government.

Swamy further said in the letter, “Six allegations levelled by him against RBI governor were "prima facie true" and require termination of Rajan's services "immediately" in the "national interest.”

He has alleged that despite holding a sensitive and an important post he is making mandatory trips to the United States to renew his Green Card. He, too has alleged that Rajan is in the dominated group of 30 which is engaged in defending America’s dominant position on world economy.

“RBI Governor's pos is very high in the Warrant of Precedence and requires a patriotic and unconditional commitment to our nation,” Swamy has said.
