MNS Chief Raj Thackeray Met Uddhav Thackeray On Matoshree

Fueling speculations of the two brothers coming together ahead Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) civil polls which is going to be held in the city early next year, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Matoshree on Friday.

Raj, who lives in Dadar drove to Matoshree, Uddhav’s residence in suburban Bandra. Shiv Sena sources said that no aides were present at the meeting.

Earlier, in 2012, Raj Thackeray had driven Uddhav Thackeray home from the Lilavati Hosiptal, where he was admitted due to chest pain and underwent an Angiography. Raj, who was going for the party meet in Alibaug, as soon as came to know about the news went to meet his cousin at the hospital in Bandra.

The reports said that the BMC elections are crucial for both the brothers and they are fighting hard for the same. Shiv Sena is also looking to counter its ally in the state government, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who plays second fiddle in the BMC.

Whereas MNS has been facing a difficult time as previously in the assembly elections only one party MLA was elected, which was far less than 13 MLAs which were elected in 2009 Assembly polls.
