Another Pune Institute Received Threat Letter, Detonator Over Kanhaiya Kumar

The smoke over the the sender of threat letters to Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) is still not removed and one more institute of the city receives threat and a detonator, reports said.

Pune’s Ranade Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism has received a threat letter along with the detonator today over Kanhaiya Kumar controversy.

DCP Sudhir Hermath (Zone I ) said,“A peon at the Department of Communication and Journalism in Ranade Institute had received the parcel on Saturday. But when it was opened today, it was found to be containing explosive substance, a detonator and a threat letter. The only difference in this packet (from the FTII parcel) was the name of the recipient.”

Previously, FTII officer received a live detonator along with bomb like substances. The threat letter received with this clearly warned against any association with JNU leader Kanhaiya Kumar, officials and police said.

The Parcel was get through the security at the main gate and arrived in the office of Bhupendra Kaithola, newly appointed director of FTII, who called the police, who in response appointed bomb disposal unit on the field.
