A girl's school principal was held in Pune Cantonment by the police on Monday for forcing a girl to strip by thrashing her in his office. The girl who was studying in her ninth standard was punished inhumanely and embarrassingly for misbehaving in the school. This incident took place on the 9th of July.

Parents of the 14 year old had registered a complaint with the police station in Bund Garden immediately after the incident.

Senior Inspector U N Sonawane of the Bund Garden Police Station said that the principal was accused of beating the girl and forcing her to undress in the office.
