Arvind Kejriwal Lost To Center In High Court Over Delhi’s In-charge

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has lost the battle against the Center in Delhi High Court after the court ordered that as a union territory, Lieutenant Governor is the in-charge and center’s representative in Delhi.

Earlier, Aam Aadmi President Arwind Kejriwal had alleged that the prime minister Narendra Modi, has rejected the people of Delhi as they refused to vote for him in the elections of 2014 and is trying to control and create problems in governance in Delhi through the office of Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, who makes decisions that are beyond his purview.

The main point on which the Delhi CM approached the court was his recommendation that central government officers should be liable for investigation by Delhi’s Anti-Corruption Bureau.

The Lieutenant Governor has been dismissing various announcements from the Kejriwal government as he thinks that the announcements are not of chief minister’s to make.

The court has judged on Thursday that while taking important decisions the LG is not obliged to act on the advise of Cabinet.

Mr. Kejriwal who has gone to Dharamsala for Vipassana or medical course was unavailable to speak on latest development. However, his party has said that they will challenged against the order from the High Court.
