Nawaj Sharif’s Opposition Upset Over Special 22 Envoys To Highlight Kashmir Issue

The opposition leaders of Pakistan has expressed their disappointment over Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaj Sharif’s move to appoint special 22 envoys to highlight the Kashmir issue on a global front as the panel does not have a single MP from the opposition.

A newspaper has quoted Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umar and Taj Haider of the Pakistan People’s party as saying, “The Kashmir issue can be raised globally in a befitting manner only with the opposition’s backing.”

Earlier on Saturday Pakistan has cleared that its 22 MPs to go as a special envoys to various countries to highlight the brutalities of Indian security forces on global front.

However, Umar questioned that how the MPs can highlight the Kashmir issue when they did not have attended parliamentary debates.

Umar said, “Nawaz Sharif is not ready to discuss Kashmir with (his Indian counterpart) Narendra Modi.”

According to the reports, Haider have said that most of the MPs belonged to treasury benches. He has said that the government should have elected the MPs from opposition leaders of both the houses of the parliament.
