BJP Canceled Two Meetings To Stop Swamy From Attacking Government

According to reports, Bharatiya Janata Party has canceled its two meetings to stop BJP MP in Rajya Sabha, Subramanian Swamy from speaking on the leaders of the government after getting clear message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his yesterday’s interview given to Times Now.

Narendra Modi, in the interview spoke clearly on Subramanian Swamy’s comments on Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Raghuram Rajan and finance minister Arun Jaitley. According party sources it was confusing for the party members whether to support or oppose Subramanian Swamy’s remarks on Raghuram Rajan and Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian without clear direction from the top leadership. But now Modi has spoken on the issue the matter have been solved.

Party secretary Siddharth Nath Singh, after Modi’s interview said, “The entire debate on Raghuram Rajan, people who speak out of turn and the party’s campaign in UP is over, since Prime Minister’s is the last word. ”

Two functions which was scheduled in Mumbai on Sunday and and another which was to be organized by RSS in Chennai this week, have been canceled as according to sources, party was unable to tell Swamy not to attend. However, BJP leadership was aware of embarrassment Swamy has caused and doing all it can to control the top member.

Sources said that Swamy was showing no sign of stopping from creating headaches for the party and to give a strong message BJP has canceled both the functions where Swamy was supposed to speak.
