December 31, Deadline For Ram Temple At Ayodhya: VHP

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), today, at Ujjain Simhasth Kumbh, said that they have decided December 31 deadline for Lord Ram temple at Ayodhya, at the disputed place and won’t wait for the Supreme Court verdict.

The Secretary, VHP Champat Rai said,”Construction will start before December 31, and we won't wait for the Supreme Court verdict... We kept our patience, but won't wait beyond December”.

“The matter is subjudice in the SC and regular hearings are expected from June. Construction will start before December 31, and we won't wait for the Supreme Court verdict. We kept our patience, but won't wait beyond December.” He further added.

He stated that some organizations are trying to spread rumors and want to bring the spotlight on the Ayodhya issue. He said that the 90 percent construction of the temple is completed and the rest will be done with the help of sants.

Ram Mandir at Ayodhya have always been the heated argument since the demolition of Babri Masjid by the Karsevaks, alleging that there was a Ram temple at the place which was demolished by the Mughal emperor Babur, on 6th of December 1992. Huge Hindu-Muslim riots, too, erupted in Mumbai and other parts of the country after the incident resulting in heavy killings of the people. Since then the Supreme Court is having a trial to know whether there was a temple at the place before the Babri Masjid constructed. Many saffron parties are urging to construct a massive temple at the place.

Interestingly, BJP government which is currently in power in the country has said while elections that they will go by the judgment of the court about the Ram Mandir issue.
