Twitter to popularize International Yoga Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is best known for his networking by sharing his views and government programs through social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. for disseminating the information to the public and to showcase that the government is more transparent. In his meeting with Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, he protracted the potential in Indian youth and India’s diversities.

Modi urged Costolo to help popularizing and taking the message of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan' and 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' through Twitter to the entire India and the world over. He asked the CEO of Twitter to portrait India's tourism potential.

In the conversation Costolo informed Shri Modi, that Twitter is growing rapidly in India and is seen as a potential media to convey and popularize the messages. The discussion was friendly and Modi asked him to consider India's linguistic diversity while designing new developments. Modi asked him to spread the spirit of celebrating the International Yoga Day across the world.

After the discussions with PM Modi, Costolo shared his views on potentiality of Indian youth and the talent they have, "how people are innovating" and saw India's young population "as a wonderful opportunity for Twitter to grow" Costolo said.
