Indian home minister during Wednesday given earnest declaration to exact revenge for a deadly attack by Maoist rebels. That was followed by the undercover agents earnest attempt to track down the attackers in their forest hideouts.

Additionally, Mr Sushilkumar Shinde told reporters on a visit to the central state of Chhattisgarh, a day subsequent to the attack which left 16 dead, that the way our soldiers have died, they will definitely take revenge for this. Mr Shinde said members of Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) had already taken up positions inside the thick forests where the rebels are believed to have taken refuge.

During Tuesday morning, near about 200 rebels in the south of Chhattisgarh deadly attacked on a security patrol which was on a mission to open a road in a heavily forested area. That was followed by an ignited gun battle that continued for three hours.
