Former Pak army chief faces militants' threats

Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, the former army chief of Pakistan has decided to abandon his  retirement home as he still faces threat from militants. According to reports in Dawn, Kayani will now live in a  heavily guarded army house.

The former army chief had built a new house with grey stone finish at Defence Housing Authority (DHA) in Islamabad and had plans to live his retirement in the scenic location, overlooking a river.
Security experts, however, felt that the rear of the house, which sloped down to the river, was a security threat as it cannot be guarded. The house has been installed with close circuit television, but it was found to insufficient for monitoring the security of the house.
